We love exploring and making sense of our world through providing children with enriching life experiences. We love to extend children’s learning by providing excursions which help them to plan, experience and reflect on real life experiences.

Excursions are planned with children and often result from children’s emerging ideas or interests.
Our excursions provide us with an excellent way to bring deeper learning through hands on experiences. They also provide meaningful learning for our children around personal and group safety and how to keep ourselves and each other safe.

Some examples of the excursions we conduct are as follows:

  • South Australian Metropolitan Fire Station
  • Kuitpo forest bush kindy
  • Adelaide Central Market
  • Lady Bay rock pools and Normanville beach adventure
  • South Australian Museum
  • Botanic Gardens
  • Adelaide Zoo

We always provide excellent adult to child ratios by inviting parents to come along and provide supervision. The safety of our students is of paramount importance at all times and thorough risk analysis is done by staff prior to planning and undertaking any excursion.

We also utilise our local resources and occasionally go on walks in our local area- visiting local schools, local areas of interest, parks and aged homes. From time to time, we provide incursions for the children by inviting visiting artists, guests and performers to visit us at kindy.

Here is a glance at some of our local excursions and events…..

  • Building community links through visits to local post office and businesses
  • Nature Connect bush kindy program at Bushland Park
  • Visits to Restvale Retirement Village
  • Visits to local schools (walking and by bus)
