TRANSITIONS TO KINDY
The thought of transitioning to kindy can be a daunting experience for some children and families.
We are available to provide guidance and assistance in enabling all children to experience a positive, tailored transition experience into our kindergarten program. If you are concerned about your child’s transition into kindergarten, please contact the kindergarten and a meeting time can be organised.
TRANSITIONS TO SCHOOL
Children at Lobethal Kindergarten transition into 10 different feeder schools, all of which have different transition procedures.
We strongly value positive and consistent transition experiences for children starting school. With this in mind, we have worked with our local feeder school, Lobethal Primary School, to create the ‘Kindy Connect’ program.
This program enables us to work with the staff and children from Lobethal Primary School in a consistent manner across the term to ensure that each child transitioning into school experiences 10 points of transition prior to starting school.
This program has had positive effects on the children/families starting school and has enabled us to work closely with the all stakeholders in the transition process to ensure positive experiences.
